Katoomba Library Opening

We drove up to the mountains this weekend for the official opening and can’t wait to show you some pictures of the new Library!

The feedback was fantastic and we’re very proud to see the results of such a great team effort realized. Our special thanks to our clients Vicki Edmunds (Manager, Libraries & Customer Services) and Karin Hartog (Major Projects & Capital Works Director) for the wonderful process we enjoyed together while designing the Library.

Have a sneak peak at the Library before it opens to the public next weekend!

    Congratulations, and well done.
    Wonderful spaces and well appointed.
    We can only hope.

    Poor TAFE relations.

    Regards, Stella

Thank You Stella for your comments.
Although this is a big project, not all projects need to be this large, much can be achieved by getting smart with your assets. We get involved in all types of projects, and enjoy the challenge of working on a shoe string budget to achieve the greatest possible outcome.
We can only hope to help libraries achieve their potential with whatever resources available.
      Thanks again,
      CK Design Team.

the library is indeed a very intelligent design. Slight problem being that the computers are in the wrong area under direct sunlight. Im double degree’d in IT and MIT from the US. The biggest ending with the computer placement is the fact that the life span for computers under sunlight or heat is about 5 years short of a 10 year life span
