We are very exited about the upcoming opening of the Katoomba Library!
It’s only 2 weeks away, and as we are checking the last of the Shop Drawings, the carpet has been laid and the shelving is coming up.
These are some of the recent photos. Unfortunately (or fortunately rather…) the carpet has been covered with plastic sheeting for protection.
Have a look at more progress photos in the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Newsletter.
There was an overwhelming response to the competition and it was difficult to pick winners as all entries showed merit. We sincerely thank those who took the time to submit an entry and do hope that we can assist you in the near future. For those who took a keen interest in exploring our website and contacting us, we hope that you will continue visiting to view our latest projects, resource section and upcoming workshops.

“We’re tired and we’re shabby and not very chic
So a face lift is needed to make us more sleek.
Imagine the impact a new desk will bring
A place with less clutter, a place with more zing
With dangles from ceiling and art on the walls
It’s sure to attract, no matter who calls.
The lushness of tropics both inside and out
Exclusively Cooktown but now with some clout.
All these dreams can come true with a CK design
The input of experts who give of their time
A small remote library, up there with the best
I believe in the challenge now put to the test.”
Thank you Diana Burns from
Cooktown Library, QLD for such a wonderful entry!
